KHALIMATUH'LLAH
(Word of Allah)

Have you ever experienced expressing yourself without using any words, neither a sign language, nor body language? If so, how?

Living creatures like birds, animals, fish, mammals, and human beings have their own systems of communication. For us, we use both the verbal and nonverbal languages. Verbally, we express our thoughts and ideas, feelings and attitudes through words. Nonverbally, we use our hands, faces, and other parts of the body to convey the states of our minds. Thus deafs and mutes can communicate with one another.

A single word stands for a thought. No one can hear an idea unless it is spoken. At times words are not enough to express one's self. Others prefer to remain silent. And yet silence is also a form of communication. It can even be deafening. To some people, they may not use any words. But action speaks louder!

Allah loves to reveal Himself to His created human beings. In the Garden of Eden, He would visit Adam and Eve in the cool of the day. Unfortunately, they fell into sin. From that time on, we have been separated physically from Allah and we do not hear Him audibly anymore. Allah introduced a go-between. "God... at various times and in different ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets." Hebrews 1:1. "If there is a prophet among you," He said, "I, the LORD, make Myself known to him...." Numbers 12:6.
